In case you haven't seen this before here is the glue up of the neck blank on the new build.


I use the hand plane to get rid of most of the glue before I take the blank to the jointer.



Trim to rough size on the bandsaw.


On to the table saw to cut the scarf joint.


Glue and Clamps and you have most of the neck blank done.

I am planning on pulling out all stops on this 3 string CBG. The neck is a skunk stripe five laminate of Mahogany - Blackwood - Maple - Blackwood - Mahogany.... I am building this instrument for a customer that is looking for something special after seeing some of my other builds on the web.
